Team Caputo came out of pool play 1-1 on Saturday.  In six hours on Sunday, Team Caputo ripped off three wins to capture the championship against Ballston Spa.  Billy Lubin, CJ Caputo and Merv Springer carried most of the scoring load for the tournament, with Merv erupting for 30 points in the finals to get the MVP.  Good contributions from everyone throughout the tournament, including Tro  Robinson’s diving stop and free throw at the end of the intra-squad semi-final, some tough blocks from Jeff  Kimball throughout the five games and some key rebounding and a couple of timely threes from Craig Geoghan in the finals.

All games were decided under 10 points for the tournament, and so it was a great success overall.
